Your arms should be straight by your sides with the palms in (facing your body). Now slowly raise both hands diagonally in front of you until they are parallel to the floor. Your arms should form a V shape as you are standing in this position. Hold for a second before returning to the starting position. Repeat 15 to 20 times per set. Do as many sets as you can. After a few days, you can increase the dumbbell weight.

3. Push-ups - Pushups are excellent for not only toning the arm muscles but also increasing strength as they target both biceps and triceps. They provide good workout to the pectoral muscles of the chest as well. The good thing is that pushups can be done anywhere and you don't need to buy any equipment, not even dumbbells. While doing pushups, place your hands shoulder-width apart on the floor. You can do pushups on toes or on your knees to make it easier when you are just starting out.
